Kenny King of Truman Men’s Basketball Team Selected as Region IV Player of the Week

CHICAGO – Kenny King, a sophomore forward on the Harry S Truman College men’s basketball team, was selected as the Region IV Division I Player of the Week on November 7 after averaging 14.0 points, 10.7 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.0 steal in Falcons’ first three games of the season.
 
The recipient of the Region IV Player of the Week award once in 2015-16, King recorded 13 points, 11 rebounds, three assists and one steal in an 82-77 overtime loss to Oakton Community College in the season opener November 1.
 
King produced a double-double in the following game as well as he scored a career-high 25 points and pulled down 16 rebounds to lead Truman to an 86-73 victory over Ancilla College (Ind.) on November 4.  Also in the win, the 6-foot, 3-inch King had two assists and two steals.
 
King’s totals in an 89-48 setback to Lincoln Land Community College on November 5 included four points and five rebounds.
 
A graduate of Amundsen High School, King is in the process of earning an Associate in Arts degree at Truman.
