Belcaster’s primary duties as Morton’s Assistant Athletic Director were handling the scheduling of facilities, including off-campus venues for men’s and women’s soccer, baseball and softball; designing and managing the Athletic Department Twitter and website pages; organizing the student-athlete orientation as well as the Meet the Team Night and Pack the Place events; supervising full-time and part-time employees along with student-workers in the Athletic Department and fitness center; and creating an Athletic Alumni program.
In 2018, Belcaster completed the Title IX Coordinator and Administrator Level One certification.
Belcaster got his start working in sports in June 2012 when he began the first of three internships over the next year at Players Sports Group (June - August). From there, he went to Priority Sports & Entertainment (August – November) followed by the Chicago Sky (January - June).
With the Players Sports Group, Belcaster coordinated the softball, basketball and soccer leagues as well as the dodgeball tournament. At Priority Sports & Entertainment, he provided data for the marketing team on the company’s NBA and NFL clients, while at the Sky, he supplied analysis on potential players, attended promotional events and worked the organization’s basketball camps.
A graduate of DePaul University, Belcaster received a Bachelor of Science degree in management with an emphasis in sport management in 2013. He earned an MBA in sport management from Concordia University Chicago in 2017.
While at DePaul, Belcaster was a member of the basketball team and Captain’s Council from 2009-12. A standout in the classroom, he was named to the Big East Conference All-Academic Team in 2009-10 and 2011-12, made the Dean’s List in 2011 and was the recipient of the university’s John and Anastasia Graven Endowed Scholarship in 2011 and 2012.
Belcaster will oversee Daley’s four-sport Athletic Department – men’s soccer, women’s soccer, men’s basketball and women’s basketball – as well as the intramural program and fitness center.
