WBB: Truman Wins on the Road

Cicero, IL - The Harry S. Truman College Falcons turned a strong defensive effort into a convincing 66-35 victory over the Morton College Panthers on November 18, 2025, in women's basketball action at Vais Gymnasium. Tied at a slow-paced 26-17 halftime lead, Truman pulled away with a 40-18 second-half surge, forcing turnovers and capitalizing on the glass to improve their record to 3-2.

Forward Krishae Turner powered the Falcons with a double-double of 20 points on 7-of-17 shooting and 6-of-9 free throws, adding 12 rebounds, one assist, six steals, and three blocks. Guard Vianey Gutierrez contributed 16 points on 7-of-21 field goals (1-of-10 from beyond the arc) and 1-of-1 from the line, with six rebounds, three assists, and two steals. Guard Dashara Flowers and center Lanyiah Johnson each scored eight points; Flowers went 4-of-7 from the field with five rebounds, one assist, and one steal, while Johnson was 4-of-8 with 12 rebounds, one assist, three blocks, and three steals.

Guard Katheryn Valdez added seven points on 3-of-9 shooting (1-of-5 from three), one rebound, and two steals. Forward Triseana Williams scored six points on 2-of-10 field goals and 2-of-4 free throws, with four rebounds and one steal.

The Falcons shot 33.8% from the field (27-of-80), 13.3% from three (2-of-15), and 58.8% from the line (10-of-17), dominating the glass with 42 rebounds while recording eight assists, six blocks, and 16 steals, forcing 27 turnovers for 26 points off them.
