Men's Basketball 3/17/2026 3:31:11 PM MBB: Five Earn All-Region and Hawk Named Player of the Year CHICAGO — Five standouts from the City Colleges of Chicago earned NJCAA Region 4 All-Region honors this season, with Malcolm X guard Joaquin Dixon taking center stage as Player of the Year and All-American nominee. Dixon powered through the 2025-26 campaign, averaging 22.6 points per game while adding 4.3 rebounds and 1.9 steals per contest. His scoring and leadership helped the Hawks capture the Region 4 championship also earning head coach Ron White the Region 4 Coach of the Year award. Olive-Harvey College’s Terrance Shannon joined Dixon on the First Team and also an All-American nominee after posting 18.3 points per game, complemented by 5.2 rebounds and 4.8 assists per game. On the Second Team, Marcus Browder of Olive-Harvey averaged 15.4 points and 4.6 rebounds per game. Kennedy-King’s Reggie Ray led his squad with 19.6 points per game, shooting 78.2% from the free-throw line and grabbing 3.8 rebounds. Richard J. Daley College’s Octavius Parker delivered 20.0 points and 5.8 assists per game while shooting 79.1% at the line.
