Lorenzo comes to Daley after spending 2 seasons as an Assistant Coach at Olive-Harvey College, where those teams were back-to-back City Colleges of Chicago Champions (2021-2022 and 2022-2023) and undefeated in conference play both campaigns. During his second season at Olive-Harvey, the team finished their season 23-8 while receiving votes for national rankings and would finish as the Runner up in the Region 4 Championship.
Prior to Olive-Harvey, Lorenzo was a free-lance trainer. Working with players ranging from third grade to college seniors. He also spent time coaching with Hoopademix, an AAU program located on the North Side of Chicago. Lorenzo began his coaching career as the Freshman Coach at Wendell Phillips Academy High School in 2012-2013.
A South Side native, Lorenzo attended and graduated from Kenwood Academy. He spent two years at Mid-State Technical College where he was a captain his sophomore year and also earned Team MVP and Defensive Player of the Year honors. Lorenzo spent his junior season at Dominican University and finished his career at Trinity International University in Deerfield, IL, earning a bachelor’s degree in marketing.
