Angelina Cruz started her basketball journey as a player at Malcolm X College and continued at a 4-year for William Penn University. Played semi-Pro for the Gary Indiana Sun Rays and Illinois Conquerors. She coached AAU basketball for Limitless and M14 hoops for a year both. After her ACL/Meniscus injury she found the passion, to coach young adults at the college level. She was given an opportunity by her past coach (Kimberly McQuarter) to be an assistant coach at Malcolm X College for three years (2019-2022), where she helped the program win a region 4 championship. Became the head coach for Richard J. Daley College this year (2023-2024). Her goal as a coach is to inspire and develop young ladies and prepare them not for just basketball but real life.
As a student-athlete at Malcolm X College, she received Region IV Player of the Week, MVP and Female Athlete of the Year and won a Region IV Championship.
