Curtis Strong Sr. comes to us with more than ten years of experience coaching Men's basketball at the NJCAA and High School levels. Curtis was the first in his family to graduate with a college degree. He believes successful academics with student-athletes are the lifeblood of a championship program and institution. Also, insisting on student-athletes with high character and the desire to earn their college degrees underlie the philosophy of athletics. Curtis has a dedication, passion, energetic drive, and commitment to making athletics one of the best.

He served as the Head Boys Basketball Coach at Perspectives Leadership Academy for six seasons, compiling a 74-60 record, making him the winningest coach in the school's history. Both teams won their conference during the 2013-14 season as the Head Sophomore and Freshman Coach. The Freshman team advanced to the elite 8 in the Chicago city playoffs, finishing with an overall record (25-7).
While as an Assistant Coach for eight years at Kennedy-King College, he contributed to several winning seasons and NJCAA Region IV awards. Recruited five NJCAA All-Americans, was named the Conference Coach of the Year 3 times, AAU Coach of the Year in 2013, and named Chicago Public League All-Star Coach three times.
 As the Head Men's Basketball Coach at Daley College, Curtis will also be our new Director of Intercollegiate and Intramural Athletics.
