BASKETBALL: Opening Day

November 1 marked the official nationwide opening of the NJCAA basketball seasons.
Most men's and women's teams from City Colleges made their debuts.

Panthers newcomer Jemel Jones picked up a double-double in a season opening win over Harper.  Jones lead the team with 25 points and 12 rebounds.  Fellow first year players Isaiah Tolbert and Bryce Baez were also in double figure scoring with 20 and 15 points respectively.

Josiah Hammons scored a game high 25 points and grabbed 17 rebounds in his Falcons debut.  Darryl Scott chipped in 16 and Ryan Robinson added 13 of his own in Truman's season opening loss at Oakton.

The Lady Panthers were lead by All-American candidate Sophomore Fantasia Baines who scored 30 points to go along with ten rebounds, four blocks and four steals.  Freshman Nakiyah Callon scored 17 points.
