Numerous student-athletes have been recognized for their academic achievements during the Fall 2023 semester.
At Malcolm X, a trio of standout student-athletes, Daniel Palacios (MSOC), Rachelle Cauinian, and LaKena Matthews (WVB), achieved a perfect 4.0 GPA, earning a well-deserved spot on the Presidential Scholars List.
Furthermore, the Dean's List features notable achievers like Bojan Dulovic (MBB) with a 3.76 GPA and Marshae Williams (WBB) with a 3.5 GPA, demonstrating outstanding academic performance.
The Honors List includes a group of dedicated students such as Edwin Riveras, Malayah Scott (WBB), and others, all achieving GPAs ranging from 3.0 to 3.49.
Five standouts at Olive-Harvey, including Cassandra Bailey and Jorge Zavala, earned a perfect 4.0 GPA, excelling both in sports and studies. Additionally, 31 athletes, making up 38% of all Panthers student-athletes, achieved a solid GPA of 3.0 or higher, showcasing their commitment to academic success. These achievements reflect the students' hard work and the college's support for a balanced education.
Elsewhere at Kennedy-King, three Statesmen, TJ Pangonas, Omari Watters, and Chelito Madrigal, achieved a remarkable 3.75 GPA during the fall semester. Balancing both their on-court achievements and commitment to academics, these Statesmen exemplify excellence in every aspect of their college journey.
