Women's Volleyball 11/8/2025 10:38:44 PM WVB: Olive-Harvey Secures Winning Season Despite District Loss Park Hills, MO - The Olive-Harvey College Panthers wrapped up their breakthrough 2025 season with a 3-1 defeat to the Iowa Western Community College Reivers in the NJCAA Division I Midwest District Tournament semifinal on November 8, 2025, at Mineral Area College. Set scores were 25-18, 25-22, 27-29, and 25-13, with Olive-Harvey displaying tenacity by edging the third set 29-27 but unable to overcome the Reivers' momentum in the fourth. This semifinal appearance capped Olive-Harvey's first overall winning season, finishing at 17-16 overall (6-0 in conference, 7-0 at home), a milestone for the program after years of rebuilding. Season-long standouts powered the Panthers' success. Outside hitter Ameria Leonard led the attack with 287 kills (2.59 per set) at a .326 hitting percentage, adding 93 solo blocks and 426.0 total points (3.8 per set). Middle blocker Rayon Thigpen contributed 202 kills (1.82 per set) with a team-high .360 efficiency, 78 solo blocks, and 296.0 points. Outside hitter Shana Johnson added 199 kills and 236.5 points, while setter Kamiya Butler excelled all-around with 332 assists (2.99 per set), 90 kills, 48 service aces, and 375 digs (3.38 per set). Libero Zoe Richards anchored the defense with 385 digs (3.97 per set) and 44 aces.
