MBB: Wright vs. Highland

Freeport, IL - The Wilbur Wright College Rams battled but were overpowered in a 95-55 loss to the Highland Community College Cougars on November 15, 2025, in men's basketball action at Highland CC. Wright trailed 40-19 at halftime and couldn't close the gap in the second half, despite solid individual efforts and rebounding.

Guard Knyle Lundy led the Rams with a team-high 19 points on 6-of-15 shooting and 7-of-11 free throws, adding five rebounds and one assist. Guard Elijah Thompson contributed 12 points on 5-of-10 field goals (2-of-3 from beyond the arc), with one rebound. Forward Kostantinos Oikonomidis scored eight points on 4-of-9 shooting, grabbing a team-high 10 rebounds, two assists, three blocks, and one steal.

Forward Israel Weber added five points on 2-of-5 shooting (1-of-1 from three), six rebounds, three assists, one block, and one steal. Forward Chance Chandler chipped in five points on 2-of-4 field goals (1-of-3 from three), three rebounds, and one assist.

As a team, the Rams shot 39.3% from the field (22-of-56), 33.3% from three (4-of-12), and 53.8% from the line (7-of-13), securing 32 rebounds, 10 assists, seven blocks, and four steals while committing 22 turnovers.
