MBB: Hawks' High Offensive Output Stops Marian

CHICAGO — Aaron McClure delivered a double-double with 21 points on efficient 8-of-10 shooting and 10 rebounds with two blocks off the bench, and Joaquin Dixon added 18 points, five rebounds, five assists and two blocks as Malcolm X College defeated Marian University Ancilla 110-94 on Dec. 13.

Jymier Garry-Shields contributed 16 points on 7-of-9 shooting with two 3-pointers and three assists, Arnas Samaitis tallied 13 points and seven rebounds with two blocks, and Karim Lebon-Mohamed chipped in 11 points and four assists for the Hawks, who led 53-47 at halftime and pulled away with a 57-47 second half.

Sam Vil provided 11 points, three assists and two rebounds, and Denyell Rush added 10 points.

Malcolm X shot 59.4 percent from the field and 42.9 percent from beyond the arc while dominating the glass 36-25 and blocking eight shots as a team to secure the home victory.
