MBB: Kennedy-King Picks Up CCC Win Over Daley

CHICAGO — Reggie Ray scored a team-high 19 points for Kennedy-King, and Isaiah Brown poured in a game-high 24 points with eight rebounds and six assists for Richard J. Daley as Kennedy-King held off Daley 83-72 in a City Colleges of Chicago matchup on Dec. 13.

Jerrold Brock III added 13 points on perfect 7-for-8 free-throw shooting off the bench, Marrico McCaskill contributed 10 points, six rebounds and four assists, and Bangout Mai tallied 10 points, four rebounds, three assists and three blocks for the Statesmen, who led 46-36 at halftime and shot 55.4 percent from the field while dominating the glass 39-22.

For Daley, Aidan Dilosa sparked the bench with 18 points on 4-of-6 from beyond the arc, Hamza Hassan knocked down five 3-pointers for 15 points, and Antwon Agee added five points and four assists. Zaccai Armstrong chipped in six points.

Kennedy-King went 8-for-14 from 3-point range, while Daley connected on 13-of-26 from deep but couldn't overcome 14 turnovers in the crosstown clash.
