WBB: Truman Improves to 4-4

DIXON, Ill. — Krishae Turner posted 11 points and a game-high 14 rebounds, and Vianey Gutierrez added 11 points with three 3-pointers as Harry S. Truman College rallied past Sauk Valley Community College 46-43 on Wednesday night.

The Falcons (now 4-4) trailed 23-18 at halftime but exploded for 18 points in the third quarter while holding the Skyhawks to just 8, taking a 36-31 lead into the final period. Truman then withstood a late Sauk Valley push to secure the road win.

Triseana Williams recorded a double-double with 5 points and 11 rebounds while blocking two shots. Dashara Flowers came off the bench to dish a game-high six assists and add three steals. The Falcons forced 21 turnovers and collected 16 steals as a team.

Demayiah Gaines chipped in 8 points on perfect 6-for-6 free-throw shooting, and Katheryn Valdez provided 5 points, including a 3-pointer, in a key reserve minutes.
