MBB: Panthers Outlast Trojans in Thrilling Road Win

RIVER GROVE, Ill. — Terrence Shannon poured in a game-high 26 points on efficient 11-of-15 shooting with five rebounds, four assists and three steals, and Justin Jones added 21 points on 8-of-13 shooting with two 3-pointers for Olive-Harvey as the Panthers held off Triton College 91-84 on Tuesday night.

Marcus Browder contributed 17 points, six rebounds and an assist, Lawrence Etling Jr. chipped in 12 points with an assist and three steals, and Yabsa Nydiane provided seven points, three rebounds and two assists for Olive-Harvey, who led 38-36 at halftime and pulled away with a 53-48 second half while shooting 47.1 percent from the field and blocking seven shots as a team.

For Triton, Papa Kounta posted a double-double with 21 points and 12 rebounds, Terez Holmes added 16 points, 17 rebounds and two blocks, and Will Scott tallied 15 points, five assists and three steals in a resilient effort that kept the Trojans in contention throughout. Saadiq Moore contributed 12 points, seven rebounds and two steals. Triton dominated the glass 56-28 and forced 8 turnovers while shooting 35.3 percent overall.
