MBB VIDEO: Panthers Hold Off Statesmen

CHICAGO — Lawrence Etling Jr. poured in a game-high 24 points on efficient 9-of-14 shooting with five rebounds, and Terrence Shannon added 19 points, six rebounds, five assists and five steals as Olive-Harvey College defeated Kennedy-King College 88-81 on Tuesday night.

Jedidiah Adesoji Johnson contributed 12 points, seven rebounds and three blocks, Marcus Browder tallied 12 points, four rebounds, six assists and two steals, and Justin Jones chipped in eight points, six rebounds, an assist and a steal for the Panthers, who led 47-31 at halftime and withstood a 50-41 second-half push from Kennedy-King while shooting 50 percent from the field and grabbed 42 rebounds.

Isaiah Martinez added six points, seven rebounds and three blocks, and Yabsa Nydiane provided five points.

Olive-Harvey went 8-for-21 from beyond the arc and collected nine steals despite nine turnovers in the road victory.
