WBB: 11 Players Earn All-Region Honors

First-Team All-Region Honorees
The First-Team All-Region selections represent the elite performers, and four players from City Colleges of Chicago earned this honor, with two also nominated for All-American recognition.
  • Nia Allen (Malcolm X): A dominant force, Allen was a key contributor to Malcolm X's solid 18-8 overall record. She averaged 19.9 points per game (3rd in the region), shot 58.5% from the field (2nd), and led the region with 126 total steals, showcasing her defensive prowess. Nominated for All-American.
  • Khadijah Phillips (Olive-Harvey): Phillips helped propel Olive-Harvey to a strong 23-10 season. Nominated for All-American, the sophomore led the Panthers with 15 points per game.
  • Krishae Turner (Truman): Turner excelled in rebounding, averaging 12.3 rebounds per game (2nd in the region), anchoring Truman's efforts despite their 11-17 record. Her board work was crucial in key matchups along with her 16.5 ppg.
  • Jenesis Massenburg (Daley): Massenburg provided leadership for Daley amid a rebuilding 7-20 season. Her all-around play earned her first-team status.  The guard was tenth in the region in scoring at 17.8 ppg.
These players not only elevated their teams but also positioned themselves as potential national talents.

Second-Team All-Region Honorees
The Second-Team featured two City Colleges athletes who delivered reliable performances.
  • Jayda Jackson (Kennedy-King): Jackson was instrumental in Kennedy-King's 20-9 campaign, offering scoring and versatility.  She was second on the team in scoring 12.3 ppg.
  • Lakyra Johnson (Olive-Harvey): Johnson complemented Phillips on Olive-Harvey, adding depth with her defensive skills. She averaged 12.4 ppg.
Third-Team All-Region HonoreesThe Third-Team recognized emerging talents and consistent role players from City Colleges.
  • Angel Dickerson (Olive-Harvey): Dickerson rounded out Olive-Harvey's strong representation, providing energy and hustle that supported their 23-10 record.  A late season addition, she played in just 17 games, but scored 158 points and swiped 72 steals.
  • Christin Brewer (Malcolm X): Brewer added scoring depth to Malcolm X's lineup with 10 ppg, helping secure their 18-8 mark.
  • Fantasia Williams (Kennedy-King): Williams brought creativity and playmaking to Kennedy-King, aiding their 20-win season.
  • Triseana Williams (Truman): Williams contributed to Truman's efforts with steady play, as the team navigated an eleven with season.
  • Khmarianna Payne (Daley): Payne showed promise for Daley, offering glimpses of future potential in a challenging season.
