Olive-Harvey and Kennedy-King Split Day 1 Games

53rd. William Bear Tournament at Highland College

Freeport, Ill --- City Colleges of Chicago teams went 1-1 on the first day of the William Bear Tournament at Highland College.

Kennedy-King played their first NJCAA game of the season falling to the host Highland Cougars 97-64.  Mario Lawrence led the Statesmen with 32 points while Grant Hall was a rebound shy of a double-double finishing with 25 points and nine rebounds.  Kennedy-King will face Elgin College Saturday morning at 9:00 am.

Meanwhile, Olive-Harvey came back from an 11 point second half deficit to defeat Elgin 68-64.  The Panthers improved to 6-3 overall and advance to Saturday's semi-finals against Highland at 1:00 pm.
