City Colleges of Chicago placed two players on the All-Region 4 Men's Basketball teams. Malcolm X standouts. Juaquin Dixon and Collin Woods were both recognized for their key roles in the team's 23 win season, earning spots on the First and Second All-Region teams, respectively.
Dixon was a consistent force throughout the season, averaging 18.4 points per game while shooting 45.2% from the field. His ability to get to the free-throw line, where he converted 82.9% of his attempts, made him a constant threat. In addition to his scoring, Dixon contributed across the board with 6.1 rebounds per game and 3.1 assists per game, making him a true all-around player.
On the 2nd Team All-Region, Collin Woods was also recognized for his strong season. Woods averaged 15.3 points per game, shooting an impressive 47.6% from the field and 33.1% from beyond the arc. He was a reliable scorer and facilitator, adding 3.3 rebounds per game and 3.1 assists per game, while showing his versatility on both ends of the court.
The duo of Dixon and Woods played a pivotal role in Malcolm X’s successful season, helping lead the Hawks to a dominant performance at home, where they went 14-3. Their recognition on the All-Region team highlights the strength and talent of the Hawks' roster this season.
