Wright College rolled to a straight-set victory over Kennedy-King College (25-9, 25-18, 25-21) on Tuesday night, showcasing a dominant performance on the road in City Colleges of Chicago women’s volleyball action.
The Rams controlled the tempo from the opening serve, holding Kennedy-King to just nine points in the first set and never trailing in the match. Wright’s aggressive attack and consistent serving kept the Statesmen off balance throughout.
Kennedy-King was led by Madison Gray, who posted six kills on 14 attempts with a .429 hitting percentage and added 7.5 points. Jokeyla Ryce and Kaylah Cherry chipped in with two and one kills respectively, while Kaylan Mosley contributed nine assists and a service ace.
Despite a late push in the third set, Kennedy-King couldn’t overcome Wright’s steady play and fell in straight sets.
