WBB: Statesmen Dominate Rams in Conference Clash

CHICAGO — Rain McDaniel poured in a game-high 33 points on 13-of-20 shooting with nine rebounds, three assists and seven steals, and Jaydah Jackson added 20 points, three rebounds and four assists as Kennedy-King College rolled past Wilbur Wright College 103-35 on Thursday night.

Fantasia Williams contributed a double-double with 12 points, 13 rebounds and five assists, Jayla Pitchford chipped in 10 points and five rebounds, and Kaylah Cherry tallied 11 points, seven rebounds and five assists for the Statesmen, who built a 45-22 halftime lead and outscored Wright 58-13 in the second half while shooting 44 percent from the field and dominating the glass 60-34.

Jokeyla Ryce added four points, nine rebounds and four blocks, and Leandra Hill provided seven points and five rebounds.

For Wright, Kalin Stanton led with 11 points, eight rebounds and two steals, Lydianis Boutureira added nine points and four rebounds, and Veronica Boutureira grabbed a double-double with seven points and 10 rebounds in a resilient effort on the boards. Ndeye Niang contributed six points and six rebounds.
