CHICAGO – The best three-point shooting performance of the season by the Truman men’s basketball team paved the way to the Falcons’ 71-67 victory over North Central College JV on Thursday at the Dave Rowlands Sports Center.
Truman drained 13 treys at a 52-percent clip – both season-best totals – in the win. Keishun Thomas (St. Patrick H.S.) converted 7-of-10 shots from beyond the arc en route to compiling a team-high 23 points.
Bryson Phillips (Jones College Prep), who was 2-for-3 from three-point range and 9-of-10 at the free-throw line, scored a personal-best 19 points. Keshaun Surney (Mather H.S.), 4-of-7 on three-point attempts, totaled 14 points.
Dusaan Allen (Schurz H.S.) led the Falcons with nine rebounds.
Truman built a 38-26 halftime advantage and held off North Central’s second-half comeback bid to win by three.
