Justin Parker totaled 16 points and 13 rebounds in Truman's victory Thursday.
CHICAGO – Rebounding from a 3-9 start to the season, the Truman men’s basketball team has strung together six consecutive wins to even its record at 9-9.

The Falcons’ most recent victory came Thursday as they defeated the North Park University junior varsity team 78-69 at the Dave Rowlands Sports Center.

Following his career-high 18-point performance two days earlier, Justin Parker (Epic Academy) topped the hosts with 16 points and grabbed a game- and personal-best 13 rebounds to post his first collegiate double-double.

Dusaan Allen (Schurz H.S.) authored a double-double as well, finishing with 15 points and 12 boards.  Keishun Thomas (St. Patrick H.S.) netted 13 points and tied for game-high honors with five assists.

Truman scored the first six points of the game and never relinquished the lead.  Ahead by as many as 21 points in the opening half, the Falcons built a 45-29 surplus at the break and kept the margin in double figures until North Park closed to within eight points – 65-57 – with 6:39 to play.

The Vikings cut the difference to 73-67 at the 1:19 mark, but Truman tallied the next three points to end the threat.

The Falcons owned 26-10 and 24-8 scoring advantages on second-chance points and points off turnovers, respectively.
