CHICAGO – Sophomore guard/forward Kendrick Robinson (Harper H.S.) recorded his first collegiate triple-double to help the Olive-Harvey men’s basketball team come away with a 90-76 CCC victory over Truman on Tuesday at OHC.
Robinson finished with 12 points, 17 rebounds and a career-best 10 assists. Robinson’s rebounds and assists totals were both game highs.
Samuel Moore (Thornwood H.S.) led the Panthers with 19 points, while Joell Davis (Kenwood Academy) netted 13 markers and Willie Greenwood (Proviso East H.S.) 11.
Truman’s Keishun Thomas (St. Patrick H.S.) topped the game charts with 22 points. Dusaan Allen (Schurz H.S.) scored 17 points and equaled his personal best with a game high four blocks.
Joseph Cadney (Phillips H.S.) had 10 points to go along with a career-high seven assists, and Keshaun Surney (Mather H.S.) added 12 points.
Olive-Harvey (16-9, 5-1 CCC) dashed out to an 11-2 lead and upped it to 18-7. Faced with a 23-15 deficit, Truman (11-15, 3-5 CCC) orchestrated a 13-2 run to jump in front 28-25 with 10:31 to play in the first half. But OHC tallied the next 11 points to go ahead 36-28 at the 8:10 mark.
The Panthers would retain the lead the remainder of the game, taking 49-40 advantage at the break and pulling away by as many as 24 in the second period.
