MBB VIDEO: Malcolm X vs. Daley

The Malcolm X Hawks improved to 5-1 on the season with a commanding 122-69 victory over the Daley Bulldogs on November 19, 2024, at Malcolm X College. The Hawks were in control from start to finish, building a 59-27 halftime lead and never looking back. This loss dropped Daley to 0-7 on the season.

Sophomore guard Collin Woods led the way for the Hawks with a stellar all-around performance, scoring a game-high 22 points on 7-for-12 shooting. Woods was particularly effective from beyond the arc, knocking down 4-of-7 three-pointers and was perfect from the free-throw line (4-for-4). He also added four rebounds and three assists, making his presence felt on both ends of the floor.

Forward Angel Edmonson had an outstanding game as well, contributing 21 points on an efficient 10-for-13 shooting from the field. Edmonson was dominant on the boards, grabbing 13 rebounds to complete a powerful double-double, and he added two blocks and three steals, anchoring the Hawks' defense.

Guard Jaloni Johnson also had a strong showing with 15 points, including 2-of-4 from beyond the arc, while dishing out two assists and recording two steals. Freshman Brandon Cromer provided a spark off the bench, scoring 13 points in just 13 minutes, shooting a perfect 3-for-3 from three-point range.

The Hawks shot an impressive 51.1% from the field and 40% from three-point range, while also dominating the glass with a 49-32 rebounding advantage.
