MBB: Kennedy-King vs.Truman

The Kennedy-King Statesmen earned their first victory of the season with an 80-51 win over the Truman Falcons in a Region 4 matchup. Kennedy-King improves to 1-6 overall (1-0), while Truman remains winless, falling to 0-5 (0-1).

Kennedy-King took control early, building a 37-27 lead at halftime, and extended their advantage in the second half by outscoring Truman 43-24. The Statesmen's balanced attack, strong defense, and efficient shooting proved too much for the Falcons to handle.

Devontae Jean led the way for Kennedy-King with 17 points, shooting an impressive 7-13 from the field, including 3-5 from beyond the arc. Jean also dished out 5 assists and recorded 3 turnovers. Carson Tangness and Matthew Armour each added 11 points, with Tangness connecting on 3 of his 5 three-point attempts and Armour contributing with 5-6 free-throw shooting.

Omari Watters made a significant impact on the boards, pulling down 8 rebounds to go along with his 9 points, while Jalen Kittler added 5 rebounds and 4 points. LaDarius Kelly provided a spark off the bench, scoring 8 points on a perfect 4-4 shooting performance.
