MSOC: Defending National Champs End Truman's Historic Season

Council Bluffs, IA - Truman saw their outstanding 2025 campaign come to an end on November 6, 2025, with a 4-1 loss to Iowa Western in the NJCAA Division I Men's District Tournament Semifinal. Despite the defeat, Truman showcased resilience, generating 10 shots (three on goal) and finding a late consolation goal, capping a season where they finished 17-2-1 and claimed their third consecutive Region 4 championship—a testament to their dominance and consistency.

The Falcons trailed 1-0 at halftime after Iowa Western's early strike but battled back in the second half, outshooting the Reivers 11-6 in the period. Defender Bell Odhran provided a highlight with an unassisted goal in the 87th minute—his second of the season—while contributing two shots (one on goal) and playing the full 90 minutes. Forward Felipe Pou added pressure with two shots (one on goal) over 50 minutes, and midfielder Nils Stodulka registered two shots in 53 minutes. Defender Eduardo Ferragut also fired two shots in 83 minutes, anchoring a backline that held firm amid 17 fouls and three yellow cards.

Truman's season was defined by offensive firepower and defensive solidity, led by forward Michael Makonese (9 goals, 14 assists, 32 points). Midfielder Nils Stodulka (8 goals, 10 assists, 26 points) and forward Robin Muller (10 goals, 21 points) were key contributors. Forward Arran MacMaster (9 goals, 20 points) and defender Eduardo Ferragut (6 goals, 5 assists, 17 points) rounded out the top performers, supported by goalkeeper Oliver Bewell's stellar 1.08 goals-against average and 13-1-1 record. The Falcons' third straight Region 4 title underscores their program's excellence, setting a high bar for future seasons.
