Throughout the summer, we will recap the top on field and on court moments with the CCC Games of the Year.

Malcolm X College overcame a first-half deficit with a dominant second-half performance to defeat Illinois Valley Community College 3-1 on Oct. 7 at Fire Field, improving their season record to 3-7-1.

After trailing 1-0 at halftime, the Hawks came out energized in the second half. Leny Sophiane Bamba led the charge with two goals. His first came off a well-placed assist from Erick Ramirez, and the second was set up by Yusuf Talha Aydin.  Brandon Yap added the Hawks third goal to seal the win.
