WBB: Malcolm X vs. Moraine Valley

PALOS HILLS, Ill. — Nia Allen poured in a game-high 27 points on 11-of-17 shooting with eight rebounds and five steals, but Malcolm X College dropped a tight 73-68 decision to Moraine Valley Community College on Wednesday night.

Kenosha Walker delivered seven points, a team-high 13 rebounds, six blocks and four steals, while Christin Brewer added eight points and 10 rebounds for the Hawks.

Lakayla Hudson sparked the bench with 11 points, including a perfect 2-for-2 from 3-point range, and Oluwabukola Onigbinde contributed 10 points on efficient 5-of-7 shooting.

Malcolm X shot 43.8 percent from the field and went 3-for-3 beyond the arc but couldn't overcome 22 turnovers in the back-and-forth contest.
