WBB: Malcolm X Marches to Home Win Over Marian

CHICAGO — Nia Allen delivered a double-double with 19 points and 15 rebounds plus five steals, and Marshay Kellum added 14 points with six assists and three steals as Malcolm X College rallied for a 58-47 victory over Marian University Ancilla on Dec. 13.

Christin Brewer contributed eight points and four rebounds, Diara Tolbert chipped in seven points, and Kenosha Walker added five points, seven rebounds and three blocks for the Hawks, who overcame a sluggish third quarter by outscoring Ancilla 24-8 in the fourth.

Zoe Fletcher provided two points off the bench, and Lakayla Hudson added three points and six rebounds.

Malcolm X shot 32.3 percent from the field but dominated the glass 41-36 and forced 19 turnovers with 14 steals as a team to secure the win.
