WBB: Malcolm X Victorious on the Road

FREEPORT, Ill. — Nia Allen delivered a monster double-double with 24 points on 9-of-15 shooting and a game-high 16 rebounds, adding six blocks and five steals as Malcolm X College rolled past Highland Community College 65-39 on Dec. 6.

Kenosha Walker contributed 12 points on efficient 6-of-9 shooting with seven rebounds and three blocks, while Christin Brewer added 10 points for the Hawks, who led 30-23 at halftime and held Highland to just 16 points in the second half.

Zoe Fletcher chipped in seven points with three steals off the bench, Marshay Kellum provided six points, seven assists and five steals, and Diara Tolbert dished seven assists with two points.

Malcolm X shot 40.6 percent from the field, dominated the glass 43-43 and blocked 10 shots as a team while forcing 35 turnovers to secure the road victory.
