WBB: Hawks Soar Past Bulldogs in CCC Clash

CHICAGO — Nia Allen delivered a monster triple-double threat with 25 points on efficient 10-of-14 shooting, 12 rebounds, seven assists and 11 steals, and Kenosha Walker posted a double-double with 12 points and 13 rebounds as Malcolm X College defeated Richard J. Daley College 81-62 on Thursday night.

Lakayla Hudson added 14 points and three rebounds, Christin Brewer contributed 12 points and five rebounds, and Zoe Fletcher tallied 10 points with nine assists and seven steals for the Hawks, who built a 41-20 halftime lead and maintained control throughout while shooting 50 percent from the field and forcing 28 turnovers with 25 steals as a team.

For Daley, Khamarianna Payne led with a game-high 24 points and four rebounds, Evelyn Isaac recorded a double-double with 15 points, 11 rebounds, seven assists and three steals, and Jenesis Massenburg added 12 points and four assists in a spirited effort that saw the Bulldogs outscore Malcolm X 42-40 in the second half while grabbing 16 steals.
