BASE: Panthers Sweep Waubonsee

Olive-Harvey College Baseball dominated a doubleheader against the Waubonsee Chiefs yesterday at Waubonsee Community College, securing a sweep with scores of 11-3 in the opener and 11-4 in the nightcap.

In the first game, Eduardo Moreno delivered a standout performance for the Panthers, driving in four runs with a pivotal grand slam in the fourth. Luis Azuaje chipped in with a three-run homer, helping Olive-Harvey rack up 12 hits overall. Cristian Ruiz claimed the victory on the mound, supported by Anthony De Freitas, who delivered three shutout innings out of the bullpen.

The Panthers kept the momentum rolling in Game 2, where Kyle Ketchum starred with three hits—a two-run homer, a double, and a single. A massive six-run outburst in the second inning blew the contest wide open. Muhammad Abdelfattah earned the win with a solid pitching effort.

Olive-Harvey's bats were firing on all cylinders across both games, tallying 22 runs in total to complete the convincing doubleheader sweep while improving their record to 5-7.
