Games of the Year: Daley Pulls Out Narrow Road Win

Throughout the summer, we will recap the top on field and on court moments with the CCC Games of the Year.

From Daley Athletic Director Rob Blissitt, "In a tough, hard-fought battle with CCC rival Truman College, the Lady Bulldogs were able to secure the victory in the final seconds of the game. With the contest game tied 72 with 5.5 second left on the clock, Jenesis Massenburg (23 pts) was fouled on a late three-point attempt to win the game. She would step up to the line and knock in 2 of the 3 free throw attempts to ice the game. A great CCC duel late in the season between two programs who have a healthy rivalry brewing.

CHICAGO — Jenesis Massenburg scored a team-high 23 points on three 3-pointers with eight made free throws and two assists, and Jessica Jasso added 20 points on six 3-pointers as Richard J. Daley College held off Harry S. Truman College 74-72 on February 10, 2026.

Khamarianna Payne contributed 11 points, seven rebounds and three steals, Evelyn Isaac recorded a double-double with 10 points, 11 rebounds and eight assists, and Nyah Hubbard chipped in five points, four rebounds and two assists for the Bulldogs, who led 43-34 at halftime but withstood a late Truman push with a 31-38 second half while shooting 32.3 percent from the field and 45.8 percent from beyond the arc.

For Truman, Krishae Turner posted a triple-double with 13 points, 21 rebounds, 10 assists, four blocks and two steals, Vianey Gutierrez tallied 17 points on five 3-pointers with an assist, and Neshaun Russell added 13 points. Katheryn Valdez contributed 11 points, Ka’Leigh Ratliff scored eight points, and Lanyiah Johnson provided eight points, eight rebounds and four blocks in a resilient effort that nearly erased the deficit. The Falcons shot 45 percent from the field and 50 percent from 3-point range while dominating the glass 45-35 and blocking nine shots.
