ROCKFORD, Ill. – In its first match-up against a nationally-ranked opponent this season, the Olive-Harvey baseball team lost 21-1 and 11-1 to Rock Valley College – No. 7 in the NJCAA Division III poll – in a doubleheader Friday at RVC.
Alfred Lott (Hales Franciscan H.S.) accounted for OHC’s run in the opener when he led off the fifth inning with his first homer of the season.
Matthew Ramos (Trinepadilla de Sanz H.S./Loiza, Puerto Rico) added a single in the inning as well.
Raul Estades (Osceula H.S./Kissimmee, Fla.) had two of the Panthers’ four hits in Game 2 as he singled in the third inning and doubled in the fifth. He scored in the fifth on a William Wormsbecher (Pembroke Pines Charter/Pembroke Pines, Fla.) single down the left-field line.
Ramos doubled in the fourth inning to finish with a hit in each game.
