After a scoreless first half, Harry S. Truman College exploded for four second-half goals to defeat Kennedy-King College 4-1 on Oct. 15, continuing their strong form in conference play and improving to 12-1-1.
The Falcons broke the deadlock in the 60th minute when Daniel Champlain converted a pass from Ilija Dordevic, who was instrumental throughout the match with two assists. Just three minutes later, Taylor Marange added Truman's second goal, also assisted by Dordevic.
Kennedy-King responded in the 76th minute with a goal from Lizandro Campos, set up by Joseph Salcedo, briefly cutting the deficit to 2-1. But Truman quickly regained control, with Marange scoring again in the 88th minute off a feed from Nestor Bueno, followed by a final strike from Felipe Pou in the 89th minute, assisted by Michael Makonese.
Goalkeeper Oliver Bewell anchored the Falcons' defense with five saves, helping preserve the lead and secure the win.
For the Statesmen, goalkeeper Rakan Al Mokdad made nine saves on 13 shots, keeping Kennedy-King competitive despite Truman's relentless second-half attack.
