MSOC: Kennedy-King vs. Triton

RIVER GROVE, Ill. — Kennedy-King College opened the scoring in the first minutes and held firm defensively to earn a 1-1 draw against Triton College on Aug. 27 in a hard-fought road contest.

Forward Joseph Salcedo gave the Statesmen an early lead, heading home a free kick delivered by Orlando Montoya in the opening minute of play. The goal marked a strong start for Kennedy-King, who looked to bounce back from their season-opening loss.

Goalkeeper Rakan Al Mokdad was a standout in net, making nine saves on ten shots to preserve the draw. His composure and shot-stopping ability were crucial in keeping Triton from pulling ahead, especially during a tense second half.

Midfielder Nasr Salim and James Gonzalez each contributed to the offensive push with shot attempts, while Yheykert Morales remained active in the attacking third, helping to stretch the Triton defense.
