WBB: Thomas' Double-Double Helps Panthers Cruise Past McHenry

CHICAGO — Karla Thomas notched a double-double with 13 points and a game-high 16 rebounds on efficient 5-of-7 shooting, and Khadijah Phillips added 11 points, seven rebounds and six assists as Olive-Harvey College cruised past McHenry County College 77-50 on Thursday night.

Lina Hamza drained four 3-pointers for 12 points, Dijionna Berrien contributed nine points and 10 rebounds, and Mariah Barksdale chipped in nine points with four assists for the Panthers, who led 35-31 at halftime and dominated the second half 42-19.

La'Kyra Johnson added nine points and three steals off the bench, and Sajda Tyehimba provided five points with four assists and four rebounds.

Olive-Harvey shot 41.6 percent from the field and collected 55 rebounds while dishing 19 assists with just 15 turnovers to secure the home win.
