WBB: Panthers Roll Behind Dominant Performances From Dickerson and Johnson

SOUTH HOLLAND, Ill. — Olive-Harvey used a dominant rebounding effort and a balanced scoring attack to roll past South Suburban 69–41 on Thursday night, led by standout performances from Angel Dickerson and La’Kyra Johnson.

Dickerson paced the Panthers with 13 points, six rebounds, four assists and five steals, delivering one of the most complete games of the season. The sophomore guard shot 6 of 10 from the field and sparked several scoring runs with her pressure defense.

Johnson provided a major lift off the bench, finishing with a team-high 14 points and nine rebounds, including eight on the offensive glass. Her second-chance scoring helped Olive-Harvey build a 40–17 halftime lead and maintain control throughout.

Khadijah Phillips added 12 points and four rebounds, knocking down a key 3-pointer while steadying the Panthers’ offense in the early going. Forward Karla Thomas anchored the interior with nine rebounds and six points, while Amayah Jones added six points and six boards to round out Olive-Harvey’s inside presence.

Olive-Harvey outrebounded South Suburban 52–41 and forced 25 turnovers, converting them into transition points that widened the margin in the second half.
