MSOC: Kennedy-King vs. Wright

Kennedy-King College overcame an early deficit to defeat Wilbur Wright College 5-2 on Tuesday, powered by a four-goal outburst from forward Yheykert Morales.

Morales opened the scoring in the 8th minute off a pass from Emmanuel Munoz, then added a second goal in the 16th minute assisted by Joseph Salcedo. After Wright responded with goals from Jorge Valle in the 37th minute and Andy Hernandez just before halftime, Morales struck again in the 46th minute with a penalty kick to reclaim the lead.

He completed his hat trick and added a fourth goal in the 70th minute, again assisted by Salcedo, who later scored himself in the 75th minute to seal the win.

Wright’s offense was led by Valle and Hernandez, with Mohammad Hammad providing the assist on the second goal. Despite the loss, goalkeeper Leandro Esquivel made eight saves on 13 shots on goal.

Kennedy-King outshot Wright 25-7 and controlled possession throughout the second half to secure the victory.
